When a Guard or Reserve unit gets called up to deploy, seemingly small personnel issues — like out-of-date dental exams — can throw planning into jeopardy. And with military personnel management systems often still run on disparate digital spreadsheets, finding troops who aren’t deployment-ready and notifying them in time to fix the problem can quickly become a crisis of urgency.
The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Delaware River Chapter had its Education Day hosted at WorkMerk's CYTO facility in Philadelphia. Over 150 Healthcare Safety and Security leaders from major hospitals in the Delaware Valley attended.

Penn State Summer Interns at WorkMerk
A team of 5 Penn State students spent 12 weeks during the Summer of 2024 at the WorkMerk Philadelphia Cira Center offices supporting various WorkMerk assignments for the United States Air Force, 98 Octane, Christus Health and other projects.
The team provided several key contributions to WorkMerk's A.I. and Defense Technology Team, plus other assignments.
Specific work assignments included R&D support for the WorkMerk Department of Defense Readiness Platform aimed at enhancing troop management and readiness.
A.I. support tasks included assisting with the development and testing of information consumption from structured and unstructured data sources to drive an automated military-focused human resource scheduling assistant geared at optimizing readiness.

WorkMerk wins U.S. Air Force Strategic Funding Award
The objective of the award is to build upon a existing Readiness Platform conceptually developed by WorkMerk for a New Jersey-based U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Fighter Wing, and is being pushed towards full production by the 932nd Air Wing.
The enhanced software will connect to the Air Force's Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS) and the Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS).
The platform will comply will also attain full Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
WorkMerk is partnering with Microshare to connect sensors to App-centric business productivity tools.
Microshare's advanced sensor detection technology will integrate with WorkMerk's technology to generate real-time sensor-generated alert messages; initiate work orders from reported issue tickets; schedule checklists; plus access training and other documentation.
Microshare provides its sensor technology to complement Smart Buildings that results in cost savings and other efficiencies that reduce risk.
